penumbra brewery
Penumbra Brewery is a personal project I created to showcase my logo and branding skills. I was inspired to create an aeronautical themed logo and packaging by the local aeronautical industry in the Seattle area.
The logo design for Penumbra Brewery draws inspiration from engineering sketches and was designed have a futuristic feel. For the labels and posters, I created technical illustrations and designed elements that emphasize the aeronautical theme of company. Additionally, this visual language solidifies the brand's identity of precision and creativity.
I also designed a prototype website using Figma from a Homepage ending at a shirt for purchase.

I created the Penumbra Brewery logo to represent a partial lunar eclipse or penumbra. The sample sketches below show possible logos I tested while creating the logo. For the logo typeface, I decided on Fredericka the Great for its sketched appearance that is similar to linework on technical drawings.
I designed three different labels focusing on tongue-in-cheek astronaut themed beers.
I started the website design by creating wireframes and wireflows to show where to place elements and how a user might travel through the website. Once I found one that worked, I developed the prototype in Figma. The prototype was created with clickable links starting at the homepage and ending at a Unisex shirt selection.
