cryptid trading cards
I started this with a simple mission - create an illustration of 2026’s star animal (Jimothy). But, Jimothy’s illustration quickly morphed into a cryptid trading card with two additional cards for the Flatwoods Monster and the Jersey Devil.

I started each illustration with a rough sketch in Clip Studio Paint. I then brought the illustrations into Illustrator to finish out the vectorization. I made this switch because at that point I only had Clip Studio Paint on a tablet and it was easier to control software for vectorization on a laptop or desktop.
