Cryptids Playing Cards
This project was inspired by my childhood memories of playing card games with my grandparents and my fascination with their patterned Bicycle playing cards. I combined this with my interest in cryptids to create my cryptids playing cards featuring Sasquatch, Nessie, Mothman and the Kraken.
The overall design of these cryptid playing cards was influenced by the elegant and flowing lines of Art Nouveau. And I chose the color palette to give the cards an otherworldly and mysterious feel.

Process
I created hand sketches of the different cards to determine the layout and placement of the different parts of the cards, such as where to place the scepter for Sasquatch and Nessie’s body in the water.
